Agriculture & Horticulture Packaging Bags
Agricultural inputs are sold to people who judge a bag by whether it survives the back of a truck. Seed, compost, soil blends, feed supplements, farm chemicals and produce all go into packaging that has to be strong, printable and honest about what is inside.
How we approach agricultural packaging bags
Most agricultural packaging sits in the woven family, because woven fabric takes the abuse of farm handling and costs less per tonne carried. Where a product needs to breathe — compost, some seed, fresh produce — we leave the fabric unlaminated and add micro perforations rather than sealing it in film. Where it needs protection from rain or humidity, we go the other way with inside lamination or a PE liner.
What to consider before you order
- Compost and soil blends must breathe or they turn anaerobic in the bag.
- Seed bags need clarity of print: variety, lot, treatment and germination data.
- Farm handling is unforgiving, so specify from the worst case, not the best.
- Bulk compost and soil often ship better in FIBC bulk bags than in 50kg sacks.
- Outdoor storage argues for UV stabilised fabric and print.

FAQ
Do you make breathable bags for compost and soil?
Yes. We leave the fabric unlaminated and add micro perforations so moisture vapour escapes instead of condensing inside the bag. Sealing compost in a PE liner is one of the fastest ways to create mould and odour, so we will steer you away from it.
Can you supply bulk bags for compost as well as 50kg sacks?
Yes. Many horticultural customers take FIBC bulk bags for bulk intake and 25kg or 50kg printed woven bags or retail packs for the finished product. Buying both from one factory keeps your specification, your colour and your quality consistent.
